Jindivick Cruise 

Saturday 4th August, 2018 

Starting from the BP Roadhouse on the M1 at Officer heading towards Jindivick.

 Starting at the BP Roadhouse on the M1 at Officer – a regular starting point with coffee and facilities.  We’ll meet by 8.45am for a 9.00am departure.

After a cruise east on the M1, we turn off along sweeping roads through rolling, green countryside until we reach a lakeside stop at Blue Rock Lake. 

 The drive continues on a tight, twisty road through the forest, along the Mt Baw Baw Tourist Road through Noojee, then on some more open and sweeping roads through to a brunch or early lunch in small but beautiful Jindivick.

Total distance is 155km and this is intended as an energetic drive taking in some great driving roads.  The duration should be about 2½ hours including one stop.  All roads are sealed and, apart from one lumpy stretch, are in fairly good condition.

The drive will finish at the Jindi Caf in Jindivick – it's cosy but the food has always been good.  The menu provides a choice of breakfast, brunch, lunch, morning tea, etc.  All dietary needs can be accommodated.  

We'll each make our own payment on the day.  They split bills and accept all credit cards with no surcharge.

The return trip after brunch/lunch is about 70km or 45 minutes from Jindivick to the junction of M1 and M3.
