Thorpdale, here we come. 10 cars, their owners and passengers met at Berwick BMW for coffee and cake on 20th September prior to setting off through the rolling hills of West Gippsland on another of Pete’s world-renowned BMW Club drives. Why else would we be BMW Club of the Year [worldwide in 2023, if it wasn’t for our drives.
There weather was looming as inclement but fortunately, that’s how it stayed, we had no rain.
The lush hills and valleys of Gippsland passed us by as we headed down the Monash Freeway via Pakenham, Drouin, Poowong, Korrumburra, Mirboo North to Thorpdale for lunch. Tail end Charlie lost the plot and was happy for 9 cars to be in the group instead of 10, as my navigator let me down and we got separated from the group. Tail End Charlie apparently has a care factor of zero as he was somewhat surprised when I eventually appeared in his rear-view mirror. All, is almost forgiven!
An enjoyable lunch was partaken at the Thorpdale Travellers’ Rest Pub before we made our own ways home.
